The fellowship is led by director Wesley Sowers, MD, and associate directors Sarah Lim, MD, Mark Beuger, MD and Amy Silberschmidt, MD. The Public Service Psychiatry Fellowship is a one-year program that emphasizes service development based on public health principles, diversity, and inclusiveness. Five positions are available each year. Fellows obtain the skills and knowledge to deliver clinical services of the highest quality in diverse systems of community-based care while acquiring leadership skills to excel as administrators and leaders in the field of public service psychiatry. The fellowship offers a unique training experience in both urban and rural settings that is rich in clinical, research and teaching opportunities. Our integrated approach focuses on cultivating relationships with both consumers and providers, and leveraging resources from across Pennsylvania’s mental health systems.
