Staff Appreciation: Lisa Bonar of the Phillips Mood and Brain Lab and Center for Research in Translational and Developmental Affective Neuroscience
Lisa Bonar serves as a senior systems analyst in the Department of Psychiatry’s Phillips Mood and Brain Lab and Center for Research in Translational and Developmental Affective Neuroscience. The Phillips Lab and Center, led by Mary Phillips, MD, MD (Cantab) (Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry, Clinical and Translational Science, and Bioengineering, and Pittsburgh Foundation-Emmerling Endowed Chair in Psychotic Disorders), focuses on improving our understanding the neural circuitry underlying mood and anxiety disorders using multimodal imaging techniques. We would like to express gratitude for Lisa’s invaluable contribution to these efforts.
Lisa has been a staff member with the Phillips Lab for fifteen years, and serves a critical role in budgetary and related administrative matters that are essential to the daily function of the lab.
Dr. Phillips has described Lisa as exemplary, noting, “Lisa is always ready for a challenge. On one recent occasion, when I was completely swamped with multiple deadlines, Lisa took on a large share of the responsibility for the budget and for many related subcontract and administrative duties necessary to ensure a successful grant application submission. Lisa has an incredibly important role in my lab; she oversees the budgets associated with all of the lab’s research projects, works on several of the project databases, and makes invaluable contributions to the day to day running of these projects. I have really come to depend upon Lisa to help me direct the lab through all seasons!”
Thanks so much for your thoughtful and invaluable hard work, Lisa!
