Join Dr. Ashley Hill and Dr. Brittany Brown-Podgorski for the second in the Race & Lecture Series. 

The new Race &... Lecture Series, a part of the Race and Social Determinants of Equity, Health, and Well-being Cluster Hire Initiative. The lunchtime speaker series provides a spotlight for each new faculty member to describe their work and interests. 

Dr. Hill, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology, Graduate School of Public Health, will present: "Frameworks to Address Inequity in Reproductive and Sexual Health." This area of research examines reproductive epidemiology, health disparities and the co-occurrence of social, environmental and biological factors that contribute to sexually transmitted  infections and adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Dr. Brown-Podgorski, Assistant Professor of Health Policy & Management, Graduate School of Public Health, will present: "Minimum Wage Laws and Housing Cost Burden among Black Families" This study used a quasi-experimental design to test whether state minimum wage increases were associated with a significant change in the proportion of Black households with a housing cost burden less than 30% of the annual household income.
