Our Meet the PI lecture series continues with a presentation by Nadine Melhem, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry, an expert in psychiatric epidemiology and statistical genetics.

Large healthcare systems across the nation are now pursuing the quadruple aim: 1) improving the health of populations, 2) enhancing the patient experience of care, 3) reducing the per capita cost of health care, and 4) improving the work life of those who deliver care.  These aims can only be realized if behavioral health services are carefully and extensively integrated across health care systems.  

We hope you will join us on December 13, 2019 for our Clinical Grand Rounds focusing on Ketamine Use In the Treatment of Mental Health Disorders featuring experts from the Department of Psychiatry. The rounds will feature a discussion of the potential benefits vs. the potential downsides of using ketamine for therapeutic purposes.

The Department of Psychiatry welcomes Dr. Noam Schneck for a Special Guest Lecture on December 18th. Dr. Schneck is a licensed psychologist who combines his clinical background with his interest in neuroimaging to identify temporal relationships between mental processes that contribute to psychopathology. This approach employs multivariate modeling and decoding to identify the trajectories of ongoing cognitive and emotional processes.

The Brain, Behavior, and Cancer Seminar will welcome Dr. Allison Magnuson on December 19th as its featured speaker. Dr. Magnuson is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester. A light lunch will be provided to attendees.
