Reproductive Psychiatry and Women’s Mental Health Seminar Series
Participants attend at least 15 of the monthly Reproductive Psychiatry and Women’s Mental Health Seminar Series, or 12 sessions plus one local or national conference related to Women's Mental Health (the latter is considered on a case-by-case basis). A list of sessions attended is reviewed by the course directors before graduation.
Scholarly Work
Residents conduct scholarly work related to the field of reproductive psychiatry and women’s mental health. Examples include the following electives:
- Didactic teaching to OB or FM residents on a perinatal psychiatry topic
- Lecture to psychiatry residents on perinatal psychiatry
- Poster presentation on a women’s mental health topic
- Academic Administrator Clinician Educator (AACE) project on a women’s mental health topic
- Grand Rounds on a women’s mental health topic
- Case challenge, case report, or review article on a women’s mental health topic
- Academy of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry (ACLP) Annotation for publication on the ACLP website
Clinical Experience Electives
Participants do three of the following clinical experience electives:
- Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program (NEST program)
- Dual Diagnosis Women’s Health Elective
- Inpatient Consults at Magee (Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Senior Elective)
- Magee Behavioral Health Care Elective
- Pennsylvania Organization for Women in Early Recovery (POWER)
