On March 28, 2025, the Department of Psychiatry will welcome James McPartland, PhD from Yale University as the speaker for the Irene Jakab Memorial Lecture. The lecture, generously supported by the estate of Dr. Jakab, features the work of a pioneer in research focusing on developmental disorders.

Our Meet the PI series continues on April 4, 2025 featuring the research of Layla Banihashemi, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry & Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

We look forward to welcoming Larry Sweifel, PhD from the University of Washington to the Department on April 11, 2025 as our next speaker for the Distinguished Scientist Lecture series. 

We are delighted to host the next Distinguished Scientist Series on May 2, 2025 and welcome  Anissa Abi-Dargham, MD from Stony Brook University, as our speaker.
