The Department of Psychiatry is delighted to welcome Norma L. Day-Vines, PhD, as our first Distinguished Scientist Lecture series speaker of the academic year on September 20, 2024.

On September 27, 2024 we will welcome David Brent, MD, for a Clinical Grand Rounds focusing on adolescent suicide and prevention. 

Luciana Fonseca, PhD is an Associate in Research in the Department of Community and Behavioral Health in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. She is a neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist with a background in aging and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in minority populations.

The Department kicks off its Researchers on the Rise lecture series on October 4, 2024 with presentations by two of its talented early-career researchers: H. Matthew Lehrer, PhD and Michelle Stepan, PhD.

We hope you will join us on October 11, 2024 for a Distinguished Scientist Lecture presented by Steven McCarroll, PhD. Dr. McCarroll is the Dorothy and Milton Flier Professor of Biomedical Science and Genetics in the Harvard Medical School Department of Genetics and Director of Genomic Neurobiology for the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research, the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
