The Research Equity and Community Health (REACH) Health Equity Seminar Series continues on July 20, 2023 with a presentation by César Escobar-Viera, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

We hope you will join us on July 20, 2023 at noon for the next Brain, Behavior and Cancer Seminar Series. The July 20th seminar will focus on “The Clinical Research Service of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center: An Overview and Discussion of Services for Biobehavioral Cancer Control Research and Researchers.”

We kick off our Fall Lecture Series on September 8, 2023 at noon with a Psychopharmacology Grand Rounds presented by our clinician educators and colleagues in the UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital Pharmacy.

The Department of Psychiatry is delighted to welcome Xiao-Jing Wang, PhD from New York University on September 15, 2023 as our first speaker for our Distinguished Scientist Lecture Series.

Join us on September 22, 2023 for our first Clinical Grand Rounds of the new academic year when Daniel Varon, MD and Khaled Moussawi, MD, PhD will present on the topic of "Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) in Depression: Current Clinical Practice and Future Directions."

The Department welcomes John Torous, MD, MBI to Pittsburgh on September 29, 2023 where he will present a Special Guest Lecture on "Informed Decision Making for Mental Health Smartphone Apps: Understanding the Evidence, Risks, and Benefits."
