The Department of Psychiatry Welcomes New Clinical Faculty Members Mark Beuger, MD, and Andrea Montilla, MD

Pitt Psychiatry extends a warm welcome to two new clinical faculty members:


Mark Beuger, MD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry)
Dr. Beuger received his MD from Erasmus University Medical Center at the school of medicine of Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (the Netherlands). He completed an internship in medicine and psychiatry, and residency training in psychiatry at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH), followed by a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, Dr. Beuger served as a staff psychiatrist at Deerfield Behavioral Health, and medical director of Deerfield Centers for Addiction Treatment and Deerfield Behavioral Health at Warren General Hospital, and as a staff psychiatrist at Pittsburgh Mercy. 

Dr. Beuger provides clinical service at WPH with the Community Treatment Team, which offers outreach and community-based mental health services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illnesses.

Andrea Montilla, MD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry)
Dr. Montilla earned her MD form Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico. She completed residency training in psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, serving as chief resident of education. At UConn Health, Dr. Montilla has provided patient care in the mood & anxiety clinic, the Treatment Resistant Depression clinic, the Inpatient Geriatric unit, and provided electroconvulsive therapy. 

At UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital, Dr. Montilla provides clinical services on the inpatient Eating Disorders unit and General Adult unit.
