The Department of Psychiatry Welcomes New Clinical Faculty Members: Resident Alumnae Anika Binner, MD, and Isabella Kratzer, MD

Pitt Psychiatry extends a warm welcome to new clinical faculty members—and recent UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH) resident alums—Anika Binner, MD, and Isabella Kratzer, MD.


Anika Binner, MD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry)
Dr. Binner earned her MD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed child and adolescent psychiatry residency training and fellowship at WPH in the Academic Administrator Clinician Educator track,and served as Chief Resident of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program clinical fellowship. Dr. Binner provides clinical care at WPH’s Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs, as well as at the Center for Children and Families Outpatient Program, which provides outpatient services for children and adolescents with behavioral or emotional problems, and their families.


Isabella Kratzer, MD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry)
Dr. Kratzer earned her MD from the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and completed child and adolescent psychiatry residency training and fellowship at WPH in the Women’s Mental Health and Reproductive Psychiatry and Academic Administrator Clinician Educator tracks. As a resident, Dr. Kratzer served as Chief Resident of Education. Dr. Kratzer provides psychiatric consults for adults, consults for children at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and psychiatric care for patients through UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital Behavioral Health.
