We hope you will join Drs. Wesley Sowers and Mark Beuger on November 14, 2025 for our next Clinical Grand Rounds which focuses on Reimagining Psychiatric Services:  Building Systems That Work. 

Wesley Sowers, MDWesley Sowers, MD is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and an expert in addiction medicine. He serves as the Director of the Center for Public Service Psychiatry at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. In collaboration with state-wide participants of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Leadership Council, the Center is a proponent of recovery-oriented systems of care and the ideals of whole-person health.

 

Mark Beuger, MDMark Beuger, MD is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and is a member of the UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital's Community Treatment Team, which offers outreach and community-based mental health services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illnesses.

The indicated number of clock hours of continuing education is provided through UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital’s Office of Educational Resources and Planning, a PA-approved provider of social work continuing education in accordance with all the applicable educational and professional standards of the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapist.
