The Department of Psychiatry Welcomes Research Faculty Member Lilcelia Williams, PhD

Pitt Psychiatry extends a warm welcome to Lilcelia Williams, PhD, MBA-HCM (Research Instructor in Psychiatry).
Dr. Williams received her PhD in Instructional Management and Leadership from the Robert Morris University School of Nursing, Education, and Human Studies, and her MBA in healthcare management from Western Governors University. She conducted postdoctoral research training at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Occupational Therapy.
Dr. Williams is dedicated to conducting research aimed at improving patient health outcomes and eradicating health disparities. In her role as Research Instructor, Dr. Williams will conduct research in the lab of Ann Cohen, PhD (Associate Professor of Psychiatry), focused on the health disparities experienced by minoritized communities with cognitive changes due to chronic illnesses associated with cardiovascular disease (e.g., stroke) and Alzheimer's disease or related dementias (e.g., vascular dementia, mixed dementia).
