The Department of Psychiatry Juneteenth 2024 program will feature a screening of the award-winning film, Freedom House Ambulance: The First Responders, which explores the history of America’s first EMT service, comprised solely of Black men and women from Pittsburgh’s Hill District neighborhood. We are exceptionally fortunate that the filmmaker, an original Freedom House paramedic, and one of the program’s co-founders will join us for a Q&A session. 

You are additionally invited to join us for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Lunch and the screening will be held on the second floor of Western Psychiatric Hospital.
