Rebecca Price, PhD, Receives Pitt Equitable, Inclusive, Innovation and Incubation Fellowship

We are pleased to announce that Rebecca Price, PhD (Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology), has been selected as a member of the inaugural University of Pittsburgh Equitable, Inclusive, Innovation and Incubation (PittEI3) Fellowship cohort. The Pitt Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship established PittEI3 to expand access for women and other historically excluded people to the university’s expanding innovation ecosystem, with the goal of fostering sustainable and equitable institutional change. The fellowship includes support for innovation development; innovation mentoring, coaching, and training; and networking opportunities.

An expert in transformative approaches to the treatment of depression and suicide, Dr. Price uses functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), pupillometry, eye tracking, and neurocognitive tasks to study the mechanisms of mood and anxiety disorders. Her goal is to specify neurocognitive mechanisms relevant to affective symptoms, and then to target these mechanisms in patients using innovative methods, including computer-based behavioral and biological interventions, to provide symptom relief that is both efficient and enduring.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Price!
