Trials and Triumphs of Telepsychiatry for Oncology Patients during the COVID Pandemic

The Brain, Behavior and Cancer Seminar Series welcomes Dr. Robin Valpey for a special presentation on October 22, 2020 at noon.

Dr. Valpey is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh and Medical Director for the  Center for Counseling and Cancer Support at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Hillman Cancer Center. In this talk Dr. Valpey will explore the behavioral health treatment of oncology patients at the Hillman Cancer during the initial months of the pandemic, highlighting specific challenges within this population and conversion to virtual psycho-oncology services. Data will demonstrate the increased delivery of behavioral health services during this time, as well as the potential for further telemedicine services in the field going forward.
