Nancy Minshew Honored by Commonwealth

Nancy J. Minshew, MD to be Honored as
Distinguished Daughter of Pennsylvania

Nancy J. Minshew, MD, Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology, has been selected as a Distinguished Daughter of Pennsylvania in recognition of her outstanding achievements in autism research and advocacy. Each year the Governor and First Lady recognize a select group of women as Distinguished Daughters of Pennsylvania based on their distinguished service on a national and statewide scale, and the honor they have brought to the Commonwealth. Dr. Minshew will be recognized with a medal and citation at the Governor's Annual Awards Luncheon on October 19, 2011 in Harrisburg, PA.  The tradition of honoring Pennsylvania women who have given distinguished service through their voluntary and/or professional careers was initiated in 1949 by Governor James H. Duff.
