Marianne Seney, PhD Selected for ADAA Alies Muskin Career Development Leadership Program
Congratulations to Dr. Marianne Seney, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, on her selection for the highly competitive Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) Alies Muskin Career Development Leadership Program. Dr. Seney will participate in the Basic Neuroscience Track of the program at the ADAA?s Annual Meeting, which will take place in Philadelphia, PA on March 31 through April 3, 2016.
Dr. Seney is an investigator in the Department of Psychiatry Translational Neuroscience Program. Her current research focuses on the cellular/molecular bases of sex differences in the vulnerability to develop mood disorders using both human postmortem brains and relevant rodent models. The Career Development Leadership Program is an intensive mentoring and professional development opportunity for early career clinicians and researchers.
It offers an interactive learning experience that challenges thinking and encourages creative discourse about anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, and depression in a diverse, multidisciplinary community of professionals involved in practice and research. As part of this program, Dr. Seney will be assigned to a mentor and will take part in a full day of small-group mentoring sessions on March 31st. Dr. Seney will also have opportunities to meet with other leaders of the organization throughout the conference, and share her own work and research interests.
