Study Shows Brief Individualized Counseling Program Can Improve Sleep in Older Adults
A recent article in U.S. News & World Report featured the work of Daniel J. Buysse, MD, Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical and Translational Science and Co-Director of the University of Pittsburgh Sleep Medicine Institute. In this study, Dr. Buysse and his colleagues found that a brief individualized counseling program was effective in treating insomnia in two thirds of the older adults enrolled in the project.
