Allison Foroobar, MD Recognized for Teaching Excellence
with Little Apple Award
The University of Pittsburgh Medical School, Class of 2016 has selected Dr. Allison Foroobar as a recipient of the Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching "Little Apple" Award.
Dr. Foroobar is a resident in the Triple Board Program at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC. The "Little Apple" Awards were initiated by the University of Pittsburgh Medical School Class of 2003 to recognize the outstanding residents and interns with whom medical students have worked with during their third year clinical rotations and who the students believe have demonstrated excellence in the following areas: student teaching, team leadership, fund of knowledge, compassionate and humanistic patient care, and service as a mentor and role model. Dr. Foroobar will be presented with the award on May 8, 2015 at the Pinning Ceremony at Scaife Hall. She also will be inducted into the newly inaugurated chapter of the Humanism Honor Society in the Fall of 2015.
