Dr. Sheryl B. Fleisch wins Gold Foundation
Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award
Dr. Sheryl B. Fleisch, a second year resident in the Department of Psychiatry's General Psychiatry Residency Training Program, has been selected as a recipient of the Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. The "Little Apple" award is presented by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Class of 2011 to outstanding residents and interns who teach as part of the third-year clinical rotations. Dr. Fleisch, one of only six winners selected school wide, demonstrated excellence in the following areas: student teaching, team leadership, fund of knowledge, compassionate and humanistic patient care, and service as a mentor and role model. The award will formally be presented on May 7, 2010 as part of the annual Pinning Ceremony at the School of Medicine. The Department congratulates Dr. Fleisch on this exceptional accomplishment.
