Ginsberg Fellowship Award
Anne Penner, MD Selected for George Ginsberg Fellowship Award by the
American Association for Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training
Dr. Anne Penner has been selected as a winner of the 2015 George Ginsberg MD Fellowship by the American Association for Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT).
Selection for the fellowship is highly competitive. The Fellowship acknowledges the excellence and the accomplishments of outstanding residents interested in education and teaching that are pursuing careers as Clinician-Educators and/or Academic Administrators. As part of the award, the Association will provide travel support for Dr. Penner?s participation at the 2015 AADPRT Annual Meeting, which will take place March 5-7 in Orlando, Florida. The program also provides opportunities for Ginsberg fellows to continue to develop their interest in teaching and education or subspecialty residency.
Dr. Penner is a PGY-5 resident in the Child Psychiatry Track and the current Chief Resident of Education and Chair of the Academic Administrator Clinician Educator (AACE) Track at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC. Her clinical and academic interests focus on neurodevelopmental disorders and medical education. Dr. Penner is currently completing an updated review of the AACE Track and assessing career outcomes of graduates over the past seven years.
