Dr. Malas Receives Travel Award
Nasuh Malas, MD, MPH Selected for
Travel Award from the National Association for Pediatrics,
Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Programs
Nasuh Malas, MD, MPH, a Resident in the Triple Board Program, has been selected to receive one of only two travel awards presented by the National Association for Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Programs. Dr. Malas is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where he earned a Master?s degree in Public Health and his medical degree. His primary clinical and research interests focus on preventive care, childhood chronic disease, the impact of psychosocial stressors on child health, and neurodevelopmental disability.
The award aims to support Triple Board or Post-Pediatrics Portal Program trainees presenting at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Annual Meeting, which will take place October 22-27, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Malas will be presenting a poster on the topic of Implementing a Motivational Interviewing Curriculum for Pediatric Residents at a Large Academic Medical Center.
