Dr. Candace Fraser and Dr. Wynne Lundblad Appointed as Medical Directors
Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) Clinical Services is very pleased to announce two additions to our inpatient physician leadership. Candace Fraser, DO and Wynne Lundblad, MD have accepted roles as inpatient medical directors for the Adult Mood and Anxiety Services Atrium Inpatient Unit and the Center for Overcoming Problem Eating, respectively.
Candace Fraser, DO – Medical Director, Atrium Inpatient Unit
Dr. Fraser received her MD from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed training in adult psychiatry at Allegheny General Hospital and a clinical fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at WPIC. She has served as an inpatient psychiatrist at WPIC for the past two years, as well as a teaching attending for the General Adult, Atrium, and Integrated Health and Aging (Geriatrics) programs. Dr. Fraser is interested in transitions of care from inpatient settings, personality disorders, and managing psychotic disorders in older adults. This year, Dr. Fraser joined the Clinician-Educator Faculty Development Program.
Wynne Lundblad, MD – Medical Director, Center for Overcoming Problem Eating
Dr. Lundblad, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, received her MD from the University of Pittsburgh and completed her adult psychiatry residency at WPIC. For the past two years, she has served as the inpatient attending psychiatrist for the Center for Overcoming Problem Eating and has provided psychiatric services and developed a behavioral health program in the Bariatric Surgery Center at Magee-Women’s Hospital. Dr. Lundblad has an interest in eating disorders and the psychiatric aspects of bariatric surgery and has presented on these topics at national and international meetings. She recently joined the Clinician-Educator Faculty Development Program.
