Department Faculty Win Big at Annual UPSOM Curriculum Colloquium

Each year the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) recognizes outstanding faculty contributions to medical education through several prestigious awards at its annual Curriculum Colloquium. The Award Review Committee and Dean select honorees based on student and faculty nominations. This year, Department of Psychiatry faculty members garnered four awards in recognition of their outstanding contributions to classroom and clinical teaching, mentoring, and innovation. Jody Glance, MD - Clinical Educator of the Year Award
For creating the Outpatient Addiction Medicine clinical education elective

Loren Roth, MD, MPH - Sheldon Adler Innovation in Medical Education Award
For developing the Changing Science, Changing Society 4th year medical student elective, as part of a seven-member team

Kelley Victor, MD - Award for Excellence in Clinical Precepting
For outstanding clinical instruction in a community setting

Crystal White, MD - Clerkship Preceptor of the Year Award
For outstanding clinical instruction in required clerkships
