Natacha De Genna, PhD, Recognized by Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco and Developmental Neurotoxicology Society

Please join us in congratulating Natacha De Genna, PhD (Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Clinical and Translational Science, and Epidemiology), who has been awarded fellow status with the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco (SNRT), a distinction conferred by the SNRT on members in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of nicotine and tobacco research. In addition, Dr. De Genna received the Patricia Rodier Mid-Career Award for Research and Mentoring from the Developmental Neurotoxicology Society, and presented a lecture on the effects of prenatal cannabis exposure at the Society’s annual meeting.
Dr. De Genna conducts research in the field of maternal and child health, focusing on substance use in adolescent mothers, intergenerational transmission of health, and long-term effects of prenatal exposures. She currently leads two studies funded by the National Institutes of Health focused on tobacco and cannabis use in the prenatal period.
