Department Faculty Selected for Leadership and Management ?Mini-MBA? Program

Two members of the Department of Psychiatry faculty have been selected to participate in the 2013 Physician Leadership and Management "Mini-MBA" Certificate Program by the University of Pittsburgh Physicians Services Division (PSD).  Drs. Rasim Diler and Christopher Dobbelstein are among only 37 participants selected by PSD for this highly competitive program. The 12-week program, a collaborative venture between the Physician Services Division and the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, is based on the current "Mini-MBA" program in the Katz Executive Education MBA (EMBA) Program.

Dr. Diler, an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, serves as the Medical Director of Inpatient Child and Adolescent Bipolar Services at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic at UPMC (WPIC) and is engaged in research focusing on the assessment, treatment, etiology (e.g., disease- and treatment-specific biomarkers) of depressive and bipolar disorders in youth.

Dr. Dobbelstein is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and is also board certified in internal medicine.  He provides psychiatric consultation/liaison services at UPMC St. Margaret and primary care services for patients with serious mental illness at WPIC's Complete Primary Care program where he also serves as Medical Director.

Congratulations to Drs. Diler and Dobbelstein on their selection for the Mini-MBA program!
