Join us when we host a Special Guest Lecture on May 6, 2022 by Vikaas Sohal, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Weill Institute for Neurosciences at the University of California at San Francisco (USCF).

We are delighted to welcome Neal Jones, PhD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry & Psychology) as our featured speaker for the May 19, 2022 Health Equity Seminar. Dr. Jones' presentation will focus on "An Examination of Physiological Responses to Stereotype Threat and Alcohol Consumption in Marginalized Populations."

On June 9, 2022 the Department of Psychiatry will host its Annual Research Day on the Pitt Oakland campus. This important annual event highlights the diverse research taking place in the Department of Psychiatry by our talented faculty, postdoctoral researchers, trainees, and staff. It is also a terrific venue for networking, building new collaborations, and reconnecting with colleagues.

In observation of Juneteenth, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Community Building Workgroup invites Pitt Psychiatry faculty, postdocs, residents, and staff to Community Connections: Learn From and Engage with Community-Based Organizations, hosted by the Department of Psychiatry. 

This virtual event will take place on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 12-1pm and will feature representatives from three organizations serving the Pittsburgh area:

The Brain, Behavior, and Cancer Seminar Series welcomes Jaime Booth, MSW, PhD, Associate Professor, School of Social Work, University of Pittsburgh, on July 6, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

The Department of Psychiatry will host a Special Guest Lecture by Cameron Carter, MD on July 13, 2022 from 4-5pm.
