We will feature the work of two of our talented rising stars, César Escobar-Viera, MD, PhD and Amy Byrd, PhD as part of our Researchers on the Rise lecture series on April 1, 2022. Dr. Escobar-Viera’s research focuses on leveraging social media and consumer information technology to improve both mental health outcomes and access to mental health services for minority individuals. Dr. Byrd's scientific focus is on the neurobiological processes underlying the development and persistence of reactive aggression.

The Department of Psychiatry lecture series welcomes faculty from the Research Equity and Community Health (REACH) collaborative on April 29, 2022 for a special presentation focusing by REACH faculty Paula Powe, MD and Dana Rofey, PhD and their colleagues Liz Miller, MD, PhD, FSAHM and James (Jay) Philip Huguley, EdD.

The 2022 STAR-Center Conference will be offered virtually once again this year via live streaming using Zoom. The conference will take place on May 6, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
