This grand rounds will provide a high-level overview of recent events in reproductive psychiatry with a focus on the maternal mortality crisis and the recent Dobbs v. Jackson ruling. The session will include an expert, multidisciplinary panel including the chair of the PA Maternal Mortality Review Committee, an emergency psychiatrist and patient safety expert, and a family planning social worker. The speakers will review the mental health implications of the ruling and provide a framework for how to conceptualize psychiatric care in the modern reproductive health care climate.
