Join us on March 08, 2024 at noon as we celebrate Patient Safety Month with a special Clinical Grand Rounds focusing on Improving Patient Safety.

This grand rounds will feature presentations by and a panel discussion with patient safety experts Drs. Priyanka Amin and Paul Phrampus, and Mr. Joe Zimmerman.

This presentation will review the most recent Culture of Safety survey results and discuss the intersection between safety culture and patient safety. Presenters will discuss strategies to develop individual and team expertise in patient safety as well as opportunities to grow from the current state of patient safety to an ideal state. Presenters will also review the hierarchy of action items in addressing system/process issues to prevent recurrent events. This session will conclude with a Q&A panel discussion with the presenters.

The indicated number of clock hours of continuing education is provided through UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital’s Office of Educational Resources and Planning, a PA-approved provider of social work continuing education in accordance with all the applicable educational and professional standards of the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapist.
