Dr. Priyanka Amin & Dr. Meredith Spada Complete UPMC Leadership Program

Congratulations to Priyanka Amin, MD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry), and Meredith Spada, MD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry), who have completed the UPMC Physician Leadership Essentials Program! 

Physician Leadership Essentials is part of a multi-year comprehensive approach to physician leadership development designed to equip physician leaders with the skills necessary to successfully identify and leverage personal and team strengths, build community among physician leaders across UPMC, and monitor progress throughout their leadership journey. Successful completion of program requirements includes more than 40 hours of leadership and management instruction in addition to self-assessments, class discussions, readings, homework, and a capstone project. 

Dr. Amin is an attending psychiatrist at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH). She serves as medical director of patient safety with UPMC Western Behavioral Health, which comprises WPH, UPMC medical hospitals providing psychiatric care, and outpatient behavioral health clinics. 

Dr. Spada is an attending psychiatrist at WPH, and serves as associate program director of Psychiatry Residency Training. In addition, she is faculty co-director of the Academic-Administrator, Clinician Educator track and the Reproductive Psychiatry and Women’s Mental Health Area of Concentration for residents.
