Dr. Morgan Faeder and Dr. Sai Folmsbee Recognized for Outstanding Dedication to Medical Education by the Pitt School of Medicine

Morgan Faeder, MD, PhD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry) and Sai Folmsbee, MD, PhD (PGY2 psychiatry resident) have been recognized by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) for outstanding dedication to medical education.

The PittMed Professionalism Accolades, featuring medical student testimonials, were prominently posted in Scaife Hall, home to the Pitt School of Medicine:

“Dr. Faeder gave incredible feedback and promoted a safe and encouraging environment for us to practice our interviewing. I always looked forward to my sessions because I knew I would learn a lot. Dr. Faeder also gave us real-life applications and suggestions on how to improve based on real clinical scenarios. I appreciated his guidance of our learning very much.” (UPSOM student, Fall 2019: Medical Interviewing)

“Sai, my current psychiatry resident, is one of the best residents that I have worked with. He creates a conducive learning environment, goes out of his way to teach, and superbly facilitates student integration into the care team … From big to small, he helped me with conceptual aspects of psychiatric diagnosis and management as well as the practical aspects of patient care. Also, he did these things immediately and efficiently, so that I would be firing on all cylinders throughout my rotation. Most importantly, he is exceptionally pleasant and caring. I will emulate him throughout my residency. And I know that my psychiatry experience will go smoothly because of him.” (UPSOM student, Fall 2019: Psychiatry Clerkship)

Congratulations, Dr. Faeder and Dr. Folmsbee, on this outstanding recognition!
