The Department of Psychiatry Welcomes Three New Faculty Members

Pitt Psychiatry extends a warm welcome to three recent additions to our faculty:

Abigail Geisler, DO (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry)
Dr. Geisler earned her medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon receiving her DO, she completed residency training in psychiatry at Allegheny Health Network, where she was named chief resident and resident of the year. Dr. Geisler joined the Pitt Department of Psychiatry in 2020 as a fellow in child and adolescent psychiatry and currently serves as an inpatient child psychiatrist at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH).  She is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Jared Gorsuch, DO (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry)
Dr. Gorsuch received his DO from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He then completed residency training in psychiatry at Loma Linda University, where he was named chief resident. Prior to joining the Pitt Department of Psychiatry, he served as an attending psychiatrist in the Gundersen Health System, teaching and overseeing medical students, residents, and nurse practitioners. Dr. Gorsuch currently serves as an adult inpatient psychiatrist at WPH. 

Maria Lopez-Santiago, MD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry)
Dr. Lopez-Santiago earned her MD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where she also completed her psychiatry residency. Having previously provided psychiatric care at UPMC Somerset, at WPH Dr. Lopez-Santiago currently serves as an adult inpatient psychiatrist. Dr. Lopez-Santiago is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
