Charles W. Bradberry, PhD Promoted to Full Professor of Psychiatry

Congratulations to Dr. Charles Bradberry on his promotion to the rank of Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  Dr. Bradberry is an expert in the study of the neurobiology and cognitive consequences of addiction. His current research focuses on evaluating the relationship between chronic use of cocaine and cognitive functioning, and he has added in vivo electrophysiological measures to his assessments of brain function. Dr. Bradberry serves as the principal investigator of an R01 grant funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and of a VA Merit Review Grant. He is also a co-investigator for two other federally-funded R01 grants as well as a project within the Conte Center for the Neuroscience of Mental Disorders: Inhibition, Oscillations and Information Processing in Schizophrenia funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.  In addition to his research activities, Dr. Bradberry is a dedicated and skilled teacher and mentor, and is a popular lecturer for various courses at the University of Pittsburgh.  He has also provided administrative service to a number of national and local research entities, committees, and professional organizations.  Dr. Bradberry is an elected member of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology and is also an active member of the Society for Neuroscience, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the European Behavioral Pharmacology Society.
