AOA Postgraduate Award
Daniel Fishman, MD has received an Alpha Omega Alpha Postgraduate Award from the Pittsburgh Alpha Omega Alpha Society Class of 2017. The annual award recognizes residents who consistently go above and beyond in their role as a medical educator or in setting an example for patient care.
Dr. Fishman is a PGY-4 resident in the Academic Administrator, Clinician Educator specialty track. He has significant interests in medical education, emergency and consult psychiatry, and the complex interplay between the mind and body.
"It's an incredible honor to be selected for this distinction, especially because it's from such an amazing group of students," he said. "I am moved that others appreciate my passion in teaching, and I hope that these students hold on to their enthusiasm about teaching throughout their career."
AOA is a professional medical organization that recognizes and advocates for excellence in scholarship and the highest ideals in medicine. The Postgraduate Award of $2,000 supports residents or fellows in their pursuit of a research or scholarly project in the spirit of the AOA mission.
