The Mentor-Mentee Relationship

The centerpiece of our postdoctoral research training environment is the cultivation of strong, supportive, and productive relationships between mentors and mentees. With more than 130 of our faculty members leading federally funded research grants, Pitt Psychiatry postdoctoral scholars have access to unique, tailored training in innovative research strategies and techniques, grantsmanship, and a variety of career development pathways.

A Rich Scientific Network

The Department of Psychiatry is a core component of a vibrant academic community that includes multiple schools and departments across the University of Pittsburgh, as well as coordinating entities such as the Center for Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh (CNUP), and the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition (CNBC), a joint venture with Carnegie Mellon University.
