Foundation Scholars Program

Congratulations to Brandon McKinney, MD and Aaron Koenig, MD, PGY2 Residents, on being selected for the Geriatric Mental Health Foundation (GMHF) 2012 Scholars Program.  A selection committee made up of leading educators in the field of geriatric psychiatry is responsible for selecting scholars for this competitive program.  The Geriatric Mental Health Foundation?s Scholars Fund was developed to expose medical students and young physicians to the rewarding field of geriatric psychiatry in an effort to increase the number of medical professionals expertly trained to care for the growing older population. It provides participants with mentorship and educational development activities through multiple opportunities to participate in the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry (AAGP), including participation at the AAGP?s annual meeting.
