Medical Student Education

Our psychiatry program ranked seventh among medical schools in the nation by US News & World Report. The education we provide helps medical students on their journey to become competent physicians, and inspires those who are considering psychiatry as a specialty.

Our Department provides a broad array of clinical and research experiences for medical students. Our active learning approach enables medical students to learn more about how the brain works and the important role of behavioral health to a person’s overall health through direct interaction with patients. This experience is supplemented by a rich didactic curriculum and personalized mentoring.

Our faculty, residents, and fellows are committed to providing medical students with education and clinical experiences that provide them with a solid foundation in psychiatry and the skills to take the next step in their academic and clinical careers.
