Jason Rosenstock, MD Recognized for Teaching Excellence at the 2015 University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Curriculum Colloquium

Congratulations to Dr. Jason Rosenstock on his receipt of the William I. Cohen Award for Excellence in Education.  This award recognizes faculty who consistently provide outstanding clinical skills instruction for first and second year medical students at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

In addition to the Cohen Award, Dr. Rosenstock was also selected to receive the Award for Outstanding Mini-Elective.  This award, established in 2014, recognizes faculty who volunteer their time and expertise to run a mini-elective for first and second year students. These electives provide students the opportunity to pursue areas of interest and personal growth in areas outside of the traditional core curriculum.  Dr. Rosenstock was presented with the awards at the 2015 University of Pittsburgh Curriculum Colloquium that took place October 20, 2015.

Dr. Rosenstock is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Psychiatry.  He also serves as the Chair of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Curriculum Committee and is an active member of numerous other School of Medicine committees and task forces.  In addition to his extensive teaching and mentorship activities and service to the academic community, Dr. Rosenstock is an experienced clinician at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC.
