Dr. Kristen Eckstrand to Receive Peter Henderson MD Memorial Award
from American Association of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training
Kristen Eckstrand, MD, PhD, a PGY2 resident in the Child and Adolescent residency training program, has been selected as the winner of the 2017 Peter Henderson, MD Memorial Award by the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT).
The award is presented by AADPRT to a resident for the best research paper in the general area of child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Eckstrand was selected for the award in recognition of her paper titled “Heightened Activity in Social Reward Networks is Associated with Adolescents’ Risky Sexual Behaviors” based on her research with Dr. Erika Forbes, Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology.
Dr. Eckstrand will receive the award at a special ceremony at the AADPRT Annual Meeting in San Francisco on March 9, 2017.
