Center for Interventional Psychiatry

Dr. Ken Nash, WPIC’s Chief of Clinical Services, recently announced the establishment of the Center for Interventional Psychiatry. This Center will offer Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) services and repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) Therapy. rTMS was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2008 to treat patients with Major Depressive Disorder who have not benefited from other treatments.
“We hope to bring in other new treatment modalities to this Center in the near future,” said Dr. LalithKumar Solai, who serves as the Medical Director of the Center for Interventional Psychiatry. Dr. Solai previously served as Medical Director for ECT Services and is an expert in brain stimulation therapies.
