Our next Clinical Grand Rounds will take place on May 29, 2026 will focus on cognition and determining when neuropsychological assessment should be considered. Join Department of Psychiatry experts Drs. Swathi Gujral, Andrea Weinstein, and Meryl Butters, for a discussion of this important topic.

Swathi Gujral, PhD is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and has specialty training in geriatric neuropsychology and behavioral medicine. Her clinical and research work focus on assessing and treating cognitive dysfunction and depression in older adults. 

Andrea Weinstein, PhD is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and studies cognitive aging and cognitive dysfunction in individuals diagnosed with neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease. Her research interests include health behaviors in older adults using cognitive neuroscience techniques. 

Meryl Butters, PhD is Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and an internationally recognized expert in geriatric mental health. Through her exploration of the interface of depression and cognitive decline, she has contributed important new insights related to our understanding of dementia symptoms in the elderly.
