Ann Cohen, PhD, Elected to National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center Steering Committee

Congratulations to Ann Cohen, PhD (Associate Professor of Psychiatry), who has been elected to the National Institute on Aging’s (NIA) National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) Steering Committee for a three-year term. The NACC serves as the centralized data repository, collaboration, and communication hub for the NIA’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers (ADRC) Program. 

At the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Cohen serves as a co-director of the ADRC, which performs and coordinates Alzheimer’s disease-related clinical and research activities. An expert in the use of positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in the early detection of Alzheimer’s prior to the emergence of cognitive symptoms, she additionally leads the ADRC’s Neuroimaging Core.
