More than 100 research faculty members in our Department serve as principal investigators on grants. Other faculty mentors, outside of the Department of Psychiatry, can be found in the Center for Neuroscience University of Pittsburgh, and the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition. Many of these faculty members have received local and national accolades for their mentoring and leadership.

PRP Resident Cecilia Westbrook, MD, PhD"The breadth and depth of mentorship here is second to none. Researchers in our Department are not only extremely accomplished, they work in a highly collaborative environment and are committed to both scientific and career development mentorship. My mentors have their own mentors here as well, so I have a reservoir of knowledge, expertise and professional development support to draw on. As a result, I have been able to develop interdisciplinary research programs, network successfully, publish work, and obtain competitive awards during residency and fellowship." - Cecilia Westbrook, MD, PhD
