Heather Joseph, DO Selected by AACAP
to Participate in Educational Outreach Program

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) has selected Dr. Heather Joseph as a travel award recipient through the Academy?s Educational Outreach Program for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residents.  This is the second time that Dr. Joseph has been selected to participate in this highly competitive program; she was also the recipient of the travel award in 2014.

Dr. Joseph is a PGY5 resident and serves as the Chief Resident for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC (WPIC).  She is actively engaged in clinical and neuroimaging research in the Youth and Family Research Program under the mentorship of the program?s director, Dr. Brooke Molina.

With support from the AACAP Life Members Fund, the program supports the participation of child and adolescent psychiatry residents at the Academy?s Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX, October 26 ? October 31, 2015. The Educational Outreach Program will enable Dr. Joseph to participate in the various AACAP Annual Meeting events for residents, including a mentorship program, a breakfast program specifically designed for trainees, networking sessions, an award luncheon, and focus groups.
