BDNF is a Negative Modulator in Morphine Action
Ja Wook Koo, PhD
Mount Sinai School of Medicine
Dr. Koo is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Eric Nestler at Mount Sinai’s School of Medicine. His primary research interest is to study the epigenetic or molecular mechanisms in the brain reward circuits that underlie adaptive behaviors in response to drugs of abuse, as well as chronic stress exposure. Dr. Koo has mainly studied morphine models since joining Dr. Eric Nestler’s laboratory and has a very broad range of expertise from gene expression microarrays to optogenetics to epigenetics.
