Introduction to Psychiatry (MS1)

This two-week psychiatry course focuses on the neural substrate of mental illnesses and their clinical manifestations and treatment, providing a mixture of lectures, small groups, and practicum.

Behavioral Medicine (MS1)

This preclinical course provides first-year medical students with an understanding of the substantial contribution of human behavior in the etiology and course of disease. The weekly semester-long course also helps students develop skills in lifestyle modification, particularly communication approaches like motivational interviewing.

Mini-Electives (MS1-2)

These elective experiences allow students to explore a range of psychiatry-related topics, including mindfulness, mind-body medicine, and motivational interviewing.
